Our Team

The founder of the firm, Luis Babiano Álvarez de los Corrales, obtained the opposition of Lawyer of the State in 1978 having carried out his functions in the provinces of León and Cádiz. He was Secretary of the Economic-Administrative Courts of both provinces; Secretary and Member of the Smuggling Courts; Legal Advisor of the ports of Cádiz and Algeciras; Chief State Lawyer in Cádiz, Jerez de la Frontera and Algeciras; and administrator of the RUMASA holding company due to its expropriation by the State.

In 1978 he founded the office “Babiano Abogados” and simultaneously combined his public and private activities during his stay in León. In 1979, he was assigned to the province of Cádiz and moved the firm’s headquarters there, making public and private work compatible. In 1982, he transferred the firm’s address to Algeciras and also opened offices in Sotogrande and Fuengirola.

In 1983, he obtained leave from the body of State Lawyers and continued his profession exclusively in the private sector, having been Chairman of the CAJASUR Control Commission; Honorary member of the CAJASUR General Assembly; President and Secretary of the Valderrama Golf Club; member of the Board of Directors of Cartier Spain; external advisor to Sotogrande, S.A. and member of multiple boards of directors of different commercial entities with businesses in the area. He is currently an advisor to large banking groups throughout the national territory. Luis Babiano is fluent in English and French, both oral and written.
